yet another fixer upper....

I have had this magnet board for 3 years now, and it has always had a nice home in the corner of the garage. I finally fixed it up and hung it up in Tay's room where it was meant to be 3 years ago.

1. Start with unfinished wood framed magnet board (I think I bought this at Roberts Craft)

2. Spray paint mint green
3. Adhere paper with Spray Mount (Martha Stewart Paper from Michaels)
4. Sand edges of paper to make it look finished
5. Add embellishments (amy butler designs from Michaels)
6. Hang

mini project...

I have an addiction. I am addicted to my white can of spray paint. I can't resist when it calls me and says, "Spray more white Jennie, spray, spray spray...." The latest victim was a plastic black and gold oval frame that was on its way to the trash. It held a silhouette of me when I was 5 years old at Knotts Berry Farm and has been in a box for the past 15 years. I decided to try to salvage it before buying a new frame for the silhouette. (I wish I took a picture of the before, but remember it was black, gold and plastic) I sprayed it white, added a turquoise accent with acrylic paint, and then put two coats of high gloss varnish. Here it is on Tay's wall.
Thank you my friend, Mr. White Spray Can, I owe ya one....
