chandelier makeover.

We have had a hole over the dining room table for 1.5 years now, waiting for the perfect, inexpensive chandelier to come available. The house came with a perfectly fine chandelier that just plain wasn't my style, so it has had a home in the garage waiting to be taken to Goodwill.

Finally, my Chadly said, enough is enough and something is better that nothing. That just shows how different men and women are because in my mind, nothing is much better than something I don't like.

So, I decided I would give it a try. I bought some red spray paint, and new decorative light bulbs and now I have a hanging chandelier in the once empty whole.

And I like it.

the before.

the after.

Your chandelier is the cutest thing ever. It has way more personality than the way it started. Great work!

Hey Andrea, I got the light bulbs at target. I can't remember what they are called, but they are the clear bulbs and they are usually used for bathroom track type lights. They aren't too hard to find.

I absolutely love your makeover. Hope that it is ok that I've made a post about this on my blog (http://smuleblogg.blogspot.com/2010/07/fra-kjedelig-standardlampe-til-stilig.html)
The post is in Norwegian, so you might not understand - but I've linked it to your page.
In awe and admiration,
Jannike
