Forever 21...Finds of the Week

What can I say, I admit it...I LOVE Forever 21. True, the quality isn't that great, but look at the bright side: the clothes are cheap, (people can't really tell unless they are feeling your clothes), they are right on with fashion trends, and if you don't like it in a month you won't feel guilty. I usually stick to buying the tops, and every once in a while a skirt, but as for jeans.... I will continue to pay the big dollars. Here are some finds from Forever 21 this week.

Z Pizza

Tonight for dinner, my family and I ordered food from a pizza place called, "Z Pizza".... It was so good! They make pizza from quality, healthy ingredients including organic tomatoes, fresh ground wheat, and all kinds of fresh vegetables. You can even order a vegan pizza with soy cheese and veggie sausage and whole wheat crust. They also have great salads and sandwiches. It always makes me excited to see health-concious restaurants with fresh ingredients. If they have a franchise in your area it is definitely worth a try!

Delightful Dwell

Dwell's baby bedding is so fresh and modern and they a have some new designs that are so adorable. I especially love the garden and cowboy bedding. Almost makes me want to have another baby.... almost.

"Favorite Things Cafe"

For a recent church activity, our theme was "My favorite things." We decided to have dinner pre-packed in cute white boxes (from Smart & Final) tied with a bow for a picnic-like feel. I designed a sticker for the front of the box; "Favorite Things Cafe" and some magnets for everyone to take home. I also really wanted turquoise doilies, but no one sells them (surprise!) so I painted them with turquoise acrylic paint. Everyone shared one of their favorite things ($5 limit) It was a fun night for us girls with all the girly colors around tasty homemade desserts. (---- The designs on the magnets and stickers are from Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals and Michelle Coleman at Scrap Artist.)

Tissue Pom Poms

I saw these "tissue pom pom" decorations on Martha, and I thought they would be perfect for a baby shower, a bridal shower, or a festive spring party, and they don't look too hard to make. I am anxious to give them a try.

Tasty Recipes

Last night I tried the Chicken Tetrazzini from the Martha Stewart FOOD magazine (I substituted whole wheat linguine, and olive oil to saute the mushrooms)... Super tasty and quite nutritious! Another one of my favorites from "FOOD" is the tortilla pie. Give them a try, they are pretty simple and really good!

Mouse pads..

I have finally found some great looking mouse pads... these ones from See Jane Work are stylish and only cost $6.95. They actually gave me an idea to design my own mouse pad and have it printed by Wink Flash... I'll let you know, when I have come up with one.

Cool Etsty Crafter

I stumbled across this designer from Etsy, Lara from Australia, and she made this great print on canvas that is perfect for a craft or sewing room. She also has a blog. Maybe she could throw some of that talent over my way!

Amy Butler has a Product Line!

One of my favorite textile designers, Amy Butler, has recently started her own product line. She sells great purses and other items using her own designs.... very cool.

Lovin' the Gold

Gold is so great right now and I especially love these 24 ct gold rings from Huntington Jewelers... I also think this necklace from Charming Sam is very "charming."

Craft of the Week

I was feeling a little bored on Sunday and decided to decorate my little girl's American Apparel tank top. I cut out some old scraps of Amy Butler fabric that I had and with the "Heat Bond" fusible interfacing I ironed them on the shirt to make a peacock (or what was supposed to be a peacock). The interfacing I used was extra strength, and it said it didn't require sewing, but I may sew a small straight stitch around the edges. It was a really fun quick project and I have already been thinking of some other designs I would like to try!

Old Navy Summer

Old Navy has such adorable clothes for kids out right now. All of the swimsuits and flip flops are so cute and you can't beat the prices. My favorite are the purple patent flat shoes for babies... so adorable! I wish they sold them in my size!

Winder Farms

I am always on the hunt for good, healthy, non-processed, fresh foods. I have recently been getting my milk and eggs from Winder Farms out of Utah. It is so nice to wake up to fresh milk, (with no added hormones or antibiotics) and brown cage-free eggs on my porch. Their prices are really reasonable and the added health benefits for my family are really worth it. Unfortunately they only deliver to Utah and Las Vegas, but I am sure there are fresh farm delivery services through out the country. If you are in Vegas or Utah, definitely give it a try!

In Honor of St. Patrick's Day

Because it's St. Patrick's Day, here are some of my favorite green things.... Furniture by Anthropologie, Clover Cupcakes by Martha Stewart, Vintage Cowboy Blanket by BabyDot.

Amenity Designs

Art is so expensive! Especially if you want it to be larger than a postcard. Amenity designs has great looking stretched canvas that you can get nice and big for not too bad a price. They also have really cute pillows and bedding.

Crazy St. Patricks Day card

I created this card to send out to Grama's and Grandpa's. Yes, it's a little on the crazy side, but it sure was fun creating... The hat and the "legs" are designed by Robyn England from Scrap Artist.

I saw these great children products on "decor 8's" blog. They are from Holland, made by a company called Mijnes, completely handmade, unique, and beautiful. I have no idea where to buy these items, but maybe when I have time, energy, and a talented Dutchman, I can learn how!

Crayon Holders

Everytime we go out to dinner and crayons are flying everywhere (this is normal with a 2, 5, and 6 year old), I am wishing I had some sort of carrying case for the crayons. I kept thinking I would figure out how to make it, but it looks like someone did it first, which makes my life easier. Lil B Designs makes a crayon keeper which I need three of, before we go out to eat or go to church again!

Beanstalk Skirt

This skirt from Anthropologie makes me want to embroider my own just like it. Now I just have to figure out how. (Focus Jennie!!!)

Cool Mirror!

This mirror from Urban Outfitters is so neat! It is made out of recycled magazines and is only $52. I have no idea where I would put it right now, but I still want it!

Shoes!

I don't think you can ever have too many shoes! Nordstrom now has free shipping on their shoes and has a great spring collection. I love Nordstom because they have a no hassel return policy and I am pretty indecisive about purchases! Here are a few of my favorites.

What's better than turquoise and red?

Turquoise and red are such a great combination. Both colors are so vibrant and I am addicted to those two colors together right now! This China from Sieger Design is so beautiful... way out of my price range, but still very beautiful!

Two Peas in a Bucket is one of my favorite digital scrapbooking websites and one of their designers, Rhonna Farrer, designed this great kit with the turquoise and red combintation. It's called the "Sassy Pack" and the name is well deserved!

This scrapbook page took me only 3 minutes! Isn't my baby cute!

Spring is here!

It was 75 degrees today in Las Vegas, and absolutely gorgeous! Spring time is the greatest; the sun stays out longer, flowers start to bloom, and everybody's outside. Here are a few things that make me excited about Spring. Children's clothes are from: (dress: Gymboree , skirt: Mini Boden, shorts: Mini Boden, tie: Children's Place - only $7.50)

These plates form Rosanna definitely give me a bit of Spring Fever...

White pants are for the brave, super clean, never have little dirty hands around you kind of people; but for Spring I think they are fabulous! I am especially excited about the wide leg coming back.... they are so flattering, they definitely look better on me than the skinny jean. And these navy peep toe shoes are the perfect Spring shoe. Both can be found at Shop bop
