busy weekend...

We had a pretty busy, and semi-productive past few days:

Thursday:
Went to the Grand Opening of H&M at Planet Hollywood. Kate and I were in the parking garage for 45 min. and missed the $10-$500 gift cards that were getting passed out to the first 300 people. .. Just glad we have one now, even if it is small. ... Checked out the Vera Wang collection at Kohls and got some of these... Made vegetarian black-bean chili from the Everday Food Magazine; I highly recommend it. Played tennis, and I am still sore from it. (I must be in real great shape.)

Friday: Kids were out of school. The horrible wind made us change our hiking plans and we went to see the movie "Game Plan." (Chad cried even though it wasn't very sad... gotta love his sensitivity).... Caught the kids making a quilt with some of my extra squares (so domestic) ...Stayed up til' 1:00 am getting ready for the garage sale.

Saturday: Garage Sale...I spoke more Spanish than I have in the last 5 years and loved every second. I probably gave more away than I sold, but I couldn't resist with all the adorable Hispanic families. ..... Moved furniture all around and worked on decorating the house, and really moving in. .... Chad and I took Kate to the Playhouse Disney concert. It was so great seeing her face watching "Little Einsteins," "Handy Manny" and the others. The "human" Handy Manny was really cute, he kept doing the salsa and I kept taking pictures of him.

Sunday: Relaxed. Watched conference. Made pasta with butternut squash sauce, asparagus, and shrimp and homemade french bread. Tried to organize my art room. Worked with Taylor on her "Economic Resource Map." (Yeah 2nd grade is a little different from what I remember)... Made some goodies for the neighbors.

Ahhh, now for the week to begin.... where do I start? Probably with the dishes....

Sounds like you had a fun/busy weekend! So how was H&M? Any kids section? I know it's wishful thinking...but it's a whole lot closer than California...if only it weren't on the strip! Couldn't they have built it up by us???

Sheesh, Jennie. Let's see... my weekend was pretty flat compared to yours! Sounds like you are in good shape, tennis or not. :)
