project time...
Moving to a new house, for me, means new projects. For starters, paint. Yes, we are renting and will only be here for a short time, but I still need something more than a pasty, dry white. So after trying to comply with the landlords request of using a neutral color, I've had enough of it. The neutral "tan-beige" is pretty much everywhere, but we've decided to go a little crazy on the bedrooms, and put a different "neutral" in the living room. Picking paint colors is NOT an easy thing especially when you are trying to do something that won't completely make the landlord flip out. ... So for the past few days I have been to Home Depot 7 times, purchased 8 quarts of paints trying to figure out what will work, and am now going color blind.

jennie you could always paint a neutral-ISH color and then stick those sweet wall stickers all over - blik, wallcandy arts, etc... that's cool they're letting you paint at all - we have BO-ring white everywhere. and tan carpet. awesome.

Ugh- Jennie, I feel your pain. I am so with you on having quarts of paint in, like, eight shades of green... that was my kitchen and after a year I finally painted it dark blue. Good luck! I am sure you will make it look dashing all the same...
btw, the purple quilt looks like it will have lots of personality. :)
Where do you get such darling fabrics? I never see such things at JoAnn or other random fabric stores. Help! liz531@aol.com
Your right, JoAnne's and most large fabric stores have lousy selections. I buy almost all fabrics online. One of my favorite sites is www.jcarolinecreative.com. I also browse for favorite fabric designers like : Amy Butler, Heather Bailey, Jennifer Panganelli, and Free Spirit Fabrics. Godd luck crafting! :)
Thanks for the tips. I never thought to shop for fabric online. I'll check it out!
